Education

Music education is neither a luxury nor an extra-curricular. It is an absolute necessity.

Teaching Philosophy
My pedagogy is rooted in a simple belief: music education is ultimately about people. While learning an instrument develops technical skill and artistic excellence, its greatest value lies in its ability to shape confident, resilient, and compassionate human beings. As a child, I was fortunate to have teachers who saw beyond my potential as a musician. They offered encouragement, patience, and genuine care during the moments I needed it most. Their investment taught me that the role of a teacher is not simply to produce exceptional performers, but to create an environment where every student believes that greatness is within their reach.
After more than a decade of teaching students of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, I have learned that there is no single type of child who belongs in a music studio. Every student arrives with a unique story, personality, and way of learning. My responsibility is to meet them where they are, cultivate their strengths, and help them discover what they are capable of accomplishing through thoughtful instruction, consistent effort, and artistic expression.
Whether a student dreams of a professional career in music or simply wants to experience the joy of making music for a lifetime, my goal is the same: to provide instruction that is rigorous, rewarding, and deeply meaningful. Every lesson is an opportunity not only to build stronger musicians, but to nurture curious, capable, and confident young people who understand that their potential extends far beyond the instrument in their hands.

Thank you for making me fall in love with music again!
Student Parent
My daughter tends to be a bit on the anxious side of things. You would never know that if you were to observe her in her lessons and it's very reassuring to know she has a mentor that gets her to believe in herself like that!

It's pretty exciting to watch my 7 year old son practice! He mimics Marc's voice to help him problem solve and it's the funniest thing! It says a lot about how helpful he believes his teacher is!
